We are often asked by our patients, which dental products we recommend. One of our favourites is BioMin F toothpaste. It is a fluoride, sensitivity relief toothpaste. Containing BioMin, a dental additive for complete oral care and protection, it creates an “Armour for Teeth”.
Fluoride is added to toothpaste as it reduces the risk of caries (cavities). Unfortunately our saliva typically washes this fluoride protection away and it can be gone in up to 90 minutes. This award winning toothpaste contains less fluoride than other brands but due to its slow release technology it offers up to 12 hours of protection.
To achieve this, BioMin F contains fine bioactive glass particles. While brushing they adhere to the surface of your tooth to form a glass matrix which is able to enter and occlude the dentine tubules. Your saliva slowly breaks this down and Calcium, Phosphate and Fluoride ions are released. They in turn combine to form Fluorapatite which reduces sensitivity and strengthens and protects your tooth structure.
It is also vegan and cruelty free!
